Re: Bar with the great view?
We got caught out a couple of years back when we booked a table. They placed us upstairs overlooking the sea. There was no option to choose whether you wanted to pay extra for the sea view. What they charged, when we finished our meal, was hilarious for what we had...Never went back.
On hindsight I would have just given what I think the meal was worth but at the time was too stunned. They only do that ONCE , never twice.

Ever since we had a mediocre meal , with an expensive price tag, a couple of years ago we have given Tia Ilda a miss. We caught sight of the 2 menus on the way out , one for sea view and one without sea view, and decided that they had overstepped the mark. There were two sittings at the table so it wasn't as if you could spend time over your meal. Shame .

The only bar that fits that view, location and description, is Rascals.

Haven't used Tia Ilda for a number of years - overpriced for v ordinary food.
When we go out for the evening we like a good value meal, view is way down list of requirements.
