Hi,

thanks for that, we are really excited about it too. We had to book it the week before the school holidays as the flights were over 700 pounds. The week we are going they are 300. And they wonder why parents have to take kids out of school. Perhaps if they did something about us being riped off then we wouldn't have too.

Thanks again
:D Ian

Hi Fullstop,

£300 is an awful lot of money for a flight to the Algarve. We came to cvo in June and paid £149. Unfortunately it was my friend who booked the tickets and she can't remember who the airline was. I know the information wouldn't have benefited you this time but could have come in handy for future reference.

Hi Dee,

Sorry it was 300 for the three of us. Me, Wife and little girl.
We are flying with Excel Airways. we went with them last year
to Majorca and they were fine. On time, clean and polite. what more
could you want, oh and a free meal aswel.

I have been looking at the restaraunt reveiws on here, seems a bit mixed
but overall good.

Thanks
Ian

Hi again Fullstop,

That was a good deal from Excel - my son travelled with them to Lanzarote this year and was very impressed!

As for the food, when we came to cvo in June I was very impressed. Every restaurant we ate at (in my opinion) was excellent, especially (in my opinion!) O'Patio and Maxime's. Everybody in bars and restaurants so very polite and accommodating.

When you go in mid-October let me know what weather conditions are like. It is always worth bearing in mind as an alternative to Canary Islands at that time of year.

Have a great time

We spent six weeks in a two bedroom villa at Colina da Lapa during Feb/March 2002 ( escaping the cold Canadian winter!) and really enjoyed the area. The photos from the websites posted are an accurate description of the interior. Hope to return again some day soon! Enjoy your stay.

Hi Dee, we stayed there for 2 weeks over easter and loved it, so much so we are moving over to Carvoeiro to live. Only downfall was the pool wasnt open when we were there for the 1st week, and it was freezing cold when they did open it. Staff were brilliant, villas superb, all the luxeries of home, dishwasher etc. We got locked out as the doors to the patios lock if you forget as we did, and push them too hard. The man came to open it for us within 15mins, and used a hammer and chisel in the side of the door! so please be careful as it was so easy for him to do it. We had to laugh though as my husband is a locksmith!! Have a great time, and if you get there late, like we did and the little shop on site is closed, you can buy a box of neccessary items from reception. We didnt know this and spent the night tea free!!
Regards June
