youll have to excuse me...but Im tagging on to the Jailhouse topic really..with this one!
I went there for first time ever beginning of last week..I thought the older chap worked hard ..did well and everyone seemed to be enjoying it. Then the younger Portuguese fella got up and did his stuff...and in my opinion he was very very good..enjoyed very much..
On my flight out here...I sat next to 2 jazz musicians...
Ken Baxter (Saxophonist) and his singer wife Toni Baxter..and what a story I heard from her of their adventurous life together in the jazz world of Europe and America..they were on hol..so dont believe they were performing..unless anyone here can tell me otherwise?
what Id like to know is..where can I hear good jazz local to Carvoeiro please?
I have 12 days hol to go and Id love to know....ta everso

You should go to Manoel's Jazz club on Fridays and Mondays.

Manoels - Monte Carvoeiro, right on the restaurant plaza with the fountain, a small brown door in the west archway - opens mondays.

Cafe Ingles on Sunday afternoons - there is a concert in Portimao on the 1st and 2nd October with great jazz.

Look for Matt Lester - he's a great saxophonist - should be on Algarve Live soon or even the Vilamoura Jazz club...

I thought his name was Joao Guest ..but I may have misheard and you could be right
