walking the dog

Our Westie loves to run on the sand, but, quite rightly, most beaches do not allow dogs in the summer months. Does anyone know of a beach where we can take her?

There is a small beach by the lighthouse for the Portimao breakwater - its not the first one that you drive direct to along the hotel Casabela? rd, you turn off on the left before the end and follow the winding rd down. I have a photo somewhere of the owner of the café on that beach, standing by the sign which says no dogs allowed - and he has his dog with him..........
