EDP PHONE NUMBER

Can anyone help I have been trying to contact EDP on 808 53 53 53 from the uk to give them my meter reading but it sems to be the wrong number from e uk, I have tried putting 00351 in front of it but still a no go. Does anyone have the number to dial from the UK. I would normally do it while in Portugal but ran out of time.

I happen to have an EDP bill in front of me which gives three numbers: 808 505 505 (apoio comercial), 800 506 506 (avarias electricas) and 800 507 507 (leitura do contactor). I believe the number you need is the latter. We have registered with them to supply readings on line and view bills before they hit the bank account.

Yes I have those numbers as well but still unable to get through, I think maybe if calling from the uk the you need extra numbers in front

I did mine by going to the Albuferia office (by the watches island) very helpful there. I couldnt get the online thing to work at all and I was in CVO.

We have always just phoned it through while in Portugal but didn't get time while over at Easter so thought we would do it from the uk, there must be a phone number to be able to get through to them from UK

I registered online and all was easy when I gave a Portuguese telephone number as my point of contact. I tried submitting my UK number but it was rejected every time. I don't have a Portuguese number so I put in our solicitor's number and hey presto!!! Give it a go.

It's easier when you have proper online access but you can report a reading online at http://www.edpsu.pt/pt/particulares/Pag ... turas.aspx, if you can manage to get past the CAPTCHA test.

I'm not aware of a 'proper' English version but it's not that difficult to work out what goes where when you have a copy of a previous invoice to hand.
