Barca Velha Dance Centre
This is in the building underneath Sovereign opposite the Fatacil in Lagoa.
I've seen the posters outside, but, does anyone know what goes on inside ?
Serious answers requested.

Re: Barca Velha Dance Centre
there is a large room at the back of the restaurant.a friend was telling me last year a group of Ladies go every week , I think it like a fitness class but not 100% sure
Re: Barca Velha Dance Centre
I know the one you mean Richard, its near the hairdressers and opposite the gym. I asked some locals last year about it and it is a late night dance club
lots of the waiters go ' after hours' but I got the impression it was latin dancing rather than disco, think they have different things on each night.

Thanks guys. I actually found a sort of website http://freemapsalgarve.com/a-barca-velh ... t-dancing/ which implies its a bit of everything including all the suggestions above and perhaps a bit more

Re: Barca Velha Dance Centre
We ate at the restuarant about 18 months ago on, I think a Friday night, and people kept arriving and disappearing through the restaurant to the back. We wondered what was going on so I went to to the ladies which was also at the back and there were load s of people in a back room.
There were guys on the door of the restaurant as the night wore on and people with different coloured tickets. We were told we could go and join in but passed on it. Seemed a bit of a 'pegar' joint but light hearted and non threatening!groups of either men or women arriving. Will maybe go back with the girls for a night out?

Maybe you've stumbled across the notorious "swingers" establishment that has been the subject of previous posts.ceh wrote:We ate at the restuarant about 18 months ago on, I think a Friday night, and people kept arriving and disappearing through the restaurant to the back.
