The only church I know is that of the Chapel of Our Lady of the Incarnation and that is on the west coast line overlooking the main CVO beach I was there a few years ago and a small beautiful building it is.

Better to show you a picture; may give an idea of its location! Best to check(not sure how) that it is still open as I know last year somebody wanted to get marry in CVO and the church was not available due to be rebuilding - was it this one I have no idea!

As of tomorrow we will be. freezing here too. Not sure after Thursday as it seems to have been raining on and off. Will have to wait and see tomorrow. Wishing you both well over the Easter period.

Thanks, what is the chance of getting into the Church when there is no service? Also not sure exactly where it is from Solferias.

Not sure about opening hours but the church is easy to find, just walk up the hill past the Tapas restaurant and you cannot miss it.
There is a school and childrens playground nearby. There are also the remains of an old fort.watchtower.

The only one that I know is open during the week is the one in Silves next to the castle, but try the one in Lagoa first. Otherwise Good Friday might be the earliest day to get into any of the small churches.

I have been to the Church in Lagoa on Saturday evening, dont know if there is a mass any other evening. As it is Maundy Thursday on the 28th I should think they will have services on that day.

I want to specifically light the candle on Wednesday as my daughter died that day 19 years ago. (It was Palm Sunday). If not I will have to have my own quiet time. Will also think of my youngest who has another scan that day too.

If you can't get to the church, buy yourself a little white candle and send up your love and memories that way in the quiet time of the evening. You're in a special place anyway being in CVO so share those lovely feelings and send them up to your daughter.
