How is the beach today
How is the beach today
From the web cam it looks like there are some huge waves coming in.
Hope they don't cause any damage.
Must be good down at Centianes.

WE live over a km inland and can hear the waves crashing onto the shore.
Fishing expedition cancelled for the foreseeable future.

Re: How is the beach today
We live behind the clifftop over Centiannes.
The beach is suffering its annual ebb and flow of sand levels, dependent upon the wind direction.
The spray at times yesterday was up to 2/3 cliff height.
We lay in bed last night feeling, more than hearing the sea thundering against the cliff face and into the caves.
You hear this sort of dull "THUD"
Seeing this sort of thing , just a couple of hundred metres from home is enthralling. We are very lucky.

Judging by the webcam at Salema over the past few days the waves are still piling in.
Wish I could be there albeit at a safe distance!

I well remember that dull "thud" of waves crashing through the caves in front of our place on Rocha Brava - quite disconcerting until we realised just what it was but also enthralling as you say.

Quiet at the moment . .
Re: How is the beach today
Too many thuds and you could end up in the waves, hope you're all insured.
