I know The Cockeral is the famous emblem of Portugal..but can anyone tell me how to shut one up ???
He starts around 3.30 am and I get regular
"Cockadoodle doo" about every half hour...am now sleeping with headphones(unless you can suggest otherwise?)..apart from that..everything is lovely

You can't shut him up.......I live nxt door to a mini Coq farm and enjoy the wonderful audio at times I never knew existed...after a year I found out I love them and cant do without them..my dog often eats them ...and the only way I can get them Coqs out of my head at 4am....is to create my own audio counter attack....and I come from Surrey...Goodness me what are we coming to.........Don't you just love it here...

I Tried...!!!.....and Oh ye.....result.......then my Portuguese neighbor came round ..cost me 50 Euro........Cheaper at Casa Algearve Restaurant..but I had to pay or 'Fisticuffs'...Chose the former cause I'm CHICKEN....AAaHhhhh

Ellie!!! wow…you must be luvin it…..this is what hols in Algarge’s all about….in my experience there’s only one thing better….when he comes in thru your window to wake you in the morning with a peck on the cheek!!!! What more could you ask for?………eh

We had the same problem last month and solicited the help of the local le Coq eradication Society (LCES) ...The deal is that they (This is true)..Hang around on your side of the fence until it's reasonably quiet (In our case 11 or 12 pm).......neighbor had gone to bed I assume...they then creep through the hedge and grap the offending clucker ...(I watched this)..they then wring it's kneck al la pronto.......Job done.and the good thing is they are very cheap (3 Euro's and hour inc waiting time)....they have a sort of quiet war like cry..something like 'Kill Kill Kill the Cluckers'.......it really is not as bad as you think because it's all over very quickly...you can contact the LCES on 282 576 984 (Ask for Dimo..( His real name is Dim Henman)....Hope this helps

I'm really disgusted by your message.....In this day and age nobody ..just nobody should be working for just three Euro per hour..this is typical of you colonial minded pompas so and so's ..I don't care if it is the 'Going Rate'........Chicken slaughter is a very stressful job and deserves a decent minimum wage aspecially as you say they just 'Wring their Neck'....Do you realise the PTS these people must endure as they retire to their homes after such an experience and at midnight !!!...

Please confirm that telephone number....I have tried to contact the company but it seems the number is not correct.
I am a serious contributor..I have real problems with Chicken noise and I really need to get the help of this company to throttle them..

I really don't wish to upset anybody and I wonder if I should really post this question...but as nobody knows who I am I will........I have a very bad 'Barkin Dog' problem..will this company do the same with Dogs.....they really do keep me awake..I'm not a Dog lover and ...well I was just wondering if they only do Chickens..

ellie just kidnap it and have its vocal cords removed by the vet! either that or have a big party get slightly(or very hehe) intoxicated and dont go to bed till around 3 am! i promise you won`t hear it!
