Just got home
After a lovely break in Carvoeiro. The weather was great, the warmest Christmas I can remember. We went to Lagos to pick up some furniture and visited Dona Ana for the first time. If you've not been, it's well worth the visit and I'm told a trip in the grotto boats is good fun.

Dona Ana is a beautiful beach, travellling from it towards the lighthouse you pass another beautiful beach (Camilo) and when you reach the lighthouse theres steps down to the grottos. When you are in Lagos you might notice stations of the cross, if you follow them from town you will end up at the lighthouse, but they are well spaced apart. think they might start just after the 'golden' church. if you are going to do a boat trip of the grottos/caves etc you might as well start in the town though as you get to pass all the headlands and beaches before the caves.
