BA have ridden up the rails with an excellent offer; as part of their 'prepare for your flight' email they offered on site parking in the ordinary Long Term car parks, £63 for 10 days in the South Terminal, sounds like a deal to me

woke to thick fog this morning; massive queues on the M25 and planes cancelled at London City; thankfully Gatwick wasn't too bad and we took the train; took off an hour late but glad to be here, albeit the weather forecast looks a bit pants

Don't know what part of London you live but what about Easybus at £2 each. Probably too late this time. We get a taxi from near Epsom and it costs £18 or park outside the daughter's home in Reigate and it's a mere £9.50. Oh the joys of living close to Gatwick when you have to visit your villa very month.

Don't know what part of London you live but what about Easybus at £2 each. Probably too late this time. hi Licy, had a look at the EasyBus site, great idea but no good for us, we're in SE London so it would take as long to get to Earls Court as it does to get to Gatwick:-(

had a little golf visit this week (damn, Carvoeiro was eerie & quiet, think I was the only person sleeping within a square mile of VDM, slept with one ear & one eye open ), the M25 was a nightmare getting to Gatwick, since they put this lorry congestion charge in place none of the trucks cut across London so there are 000's of them going round, the queue at the QE2 bridge/ tunnel goes back miles now all day; I think it's time they put a small toll on the M25, that might stop some of the locals getting on for one junction & free it up a bit.

Great idea. They can put up loads of gantries and clock vehicles automatically. Then they can make it as difficult as possible to pay the toll, especially them pesky foreigners fresh off the ferries and tunnel.

We come out next saturday. We live to check the webcam as we are real sad folk. Makes us feel like we are there. The square looks extremely quiet. Why aren't the square huts open? I presume they are a Christmas market. Weather looks ok. Weather here is pants as the precipitation seems to be on 100%. anyway everyone have a super Christmas. Looking forward to NYE at Primavera with our friends, the Pickwicks and Shanagary's.

Have you got any neighbours? we have them up North they live in our street and they all have cars and go on holidays, we ask one of them that providing the flight times are reasonable, for a lift to and from the airport, and we'll return the compliment when they go. it's called neighbourliness and it works well, but I suppose in London it's difficult to communicate with people living in your street unless you speak Serbo Croat and languages similar to that.
