trouble sending a pm

i am having trouble sending a pm,it is just sitting there in the outbox not sent even though i pressed the submit button,i have send lots of messages before but this one will not go !any suggestions please ?

Alf, until the message is actually read by the recipient it will stay in the Outbox, then when read, it will be in the sent box list of messages.

I think the person you are sending the message to must be away unless he/she is not getting an email alert alerting that you have sent a PM; that may happen but very unlikely.
