Yes it is over, but nothing from Santander until later in the week. The ship is out of position.

After a slog up to Calais we arrived at the ferry terminal this morning and no problems with our Brittany Ferries tickets for Santander. We were given a boarding pass for the 09.50 sailing, but were informed that there were delays as the French dock workers who handle the moorings were on stike :( Would you believe it? Caught by two bloody stikes by the French! However left 2 hours late which I suppose could have been worse. Not impressed with P & O though; no information whatsoever about the length of delay, only handed a standard undated letter saying delays because of stike action. After this I am really looking forward to Ryanair next month :)

well done Dave, nice to be back eh?

I had a lovely few days in Carvoeiro, caught up with friends, lots of golf on the course & the TV and after a long drive down got a nice BA plane to fly me back.

And I'd highly recommend that people use the A22 if you can, the cost isn't that high and you basically have it to yourself, much better than queueing on all the roundabouts and traffic lights 8)

What you need is a pint of Abbott Ale or Greene King IPA. Image

Thank's sunman. After all the driving it was nice to get back, but now looking forward to going over next month.

Pleased you had a good break and a much better return jouney. I agree with your comments regarding the A22. Get past Faro going East and Portimao going West and it is deserted! Just hope the cameras did not pick up the car registration number which was incorrectly recorded by the Easytoll system camera when entering Portugal.

Michael, I could not agree more :)
