WANTED - Portuguese Water Dog (or cross) Puppy

Post by SharonODubai »

Hello,

I have a friend who is looking for a water dog, he is in no rush but wants a young one - does not really mind if its a dog or bitch.

So if anyone knows of one looking for a new home please let me know.

Thanks

Have you enquired at the Donkey sanctuary, they may home something to suit him there.

We have seen puppies for sale at Silves market, a good pedigree puppy can cost up to 600euros,

I have told him about the Donkey Rescue place - I got a dog from there and she is absolutely lovely - and I do like to support them BUT he is fixed on a PWD and wont budge.

We have two serra de aires for adoption in Dogs of Portugal, they are not PWD but they are similar. Maybe he would be interested in seeing their pictures? You can give your friend our email:

Sharon, how is your cat doing? Is he is still doing his escape routes or has he finally settlled down? :)

There is a very good PWD specialist breeder just off the N125 on the outskirts of Lagos. It's called Buba as per this link :-

I know this breeder cereza, very reputable. Most of the dogs are award-winning. Their website is http://www.cdblagos.com

Thanks ditzy - I believe that their prices are high though !

I looked at a litter of PWD pups last year at a house on the eastern side of Lagos close to the aerdrome. The poor woman had the sire, dam and about 9 pups I think and was deperate to offload some of them. She had an ad for them in Lazy Jacks in Lagos Marina where she knew the manager. The pups would be about 15 months old now if she still has any. They were all gorgeous and we were very tempted to bring one back to the UK but would have had to wait quite a while - in the meantime we found the hairy monster that we now have
