need a gardener -part time

Can anyone recommend a gardener who is prepared to work half year as I am in UK 6 months her 6 months. Does not require too much maintenance - around 100 sq metres of lawn and some portuguese laurel hedges. Have irrigation. HAd some silly quotes for silly hours and bods who will only contract for a year.

You may struggle to find someone who is any good to work just for the time you are not in Carvoeiro.
Our gardeners spend an average of 4 hours/visit 3-4 times month.
The company owner is one of those who only work on an annual agreement.
There is just no way we would have a half decent garden without this amount of work plus what we do when we are out.
Hedges are cut monthly, lawn weekly, shrubs trees etc pruned as required, plants fed or sprayed to keep mildew and bugs down plus everything is kept neat an tidy.
Our Portuguese neighbours who are just as proud of their gardens seem to be doing some work every day.

Your best bet I think would be to find a keen expat gardener ( pity we are not yet living in Carvoeiro full time ).

Only problem is you'll end up with little round holes in your lawn
