Not that impressed to be honest. I don't want to miss the fireworks, so I guess I'll have to sit through it.
Re: olympics closing ceremony
Not as good as the opener. The BBC spoiled it for me with a drivelling commentary by Colin Jackson & some other twit who talked over the music & waffled on about irrelevant nonsense.laserblazer wrote:Not that impressed to be honest. At least we were spared another embarrassing appearance by Macca !

Spice Girls or Macca , not much to chose between them , but at least Macca was honest enough to sing without " electronic assistance
Best performers, Jessie J and Roger Daltry.
Best dancer " BORRIS"
Did feel sorry for the athletes corralled in their various sections, the organisers must have been taking tips from the Met on how to deal with crowds.

Stevie Wonder is getting divorced after 11 years of marriage. His wife doesn't think he's seeing another woman.
George Soros the 82 year old billionaire has got engaged to his 40 year old yoga teacher; can't imagine what she sees in him.

I fell asleep when the Who were on. Did it go on much longer and were there any more fireworks at the end?

Just watched the last bit and the fireworks were good if only the cameras had concentrated on them rather than another athlete kissing their medal!
Re: olympics closing ceremony
no wonder theres a doom&gloom outlook in the air with all the negativity posts on here about the olympics why on earth people cant try to be positive in the fact that we put on a fantastic olympics that everybody has praised. i would like to hazzard a guess that the afore said people were just waiting for it all to go wrong then they would have had a field day7would be shouting it from the rooftops how bad the games were&how we messed it up
