Resorthoppa - Airport Transfer

Post by RJKERRIGAN »

I'm looking at booking a transfer with a company called Resorthoppa from Faro airport to our villa at the Club Atlantic complex.

Has anyone ever used this company they seem quite cheap?

Hi RJ,

Are you going for the private taxi or the shuttle bus?
I use the shuttle quite often and find it both quick and cheap.

Thanks Craig.

I was thinking of using the Shuttle Bus. Seems good value at £10.32 per person one way.

Was wondering if they would just drop us in Carvoeiro town centre rather than taking us up to Club Atlantic which is a couple of miles east of the town centre.

They are only supposed to do drops to hotels or resorts. Having said that, I always get dropped at Rosa's in Sesmarias.
If you get the shuttle be prepared for a short wait if there are other passengers waiting for luggage, and then hope that you are first or second drop. It normally takes me about an hour and a half which is fine by me at that price.

Some transfer companies will only drop off at establishments which are registered with the tourist board. A way round this if you are going to a non-registered place is to check if there is a registered property nearby. Put this on your booking form and give the driver a nice smile (and €5) and he will usually travel the extra short distance to your accommodation.

Never had any problem with them and used them probably 30 times. They will drop you off anywhere in CVO if you ask the driver (and tip him a couple of €) but they will never pick you up unless it is a registered hotel or apartment block. You have to get the private shuttle for that, which is more expensive

If you use Quidco you can get 8% discount and sometimes Resorthoppa send you a 10% discount using another code - currrently its 10% using RHolympics - this should have stopped on Aug 6th, but they are still accepting it - my daughter used it yesterday. so if you are quick and use Quidco you can probably save 18% on that price.
