well err.... maybe I am a bit grumpy but I dont see why they have to do fireworks at 12 o'clock on a Sunday evening when you have to be awake at 5am on Monday morning.... Why not Saturday night?

The amount of money Portugal spends on Fireworks every year! Well the mind boggles

Thanks Kteee, great pictures. I have never seen so many people in Carvoeiro. Of course during the winter it is a lot quieter, even for the carnaval there are not that many spectators. It must be whole different world in summer...

I reckon Kteee got herself a good photo position at Mata Bicho bar as her photos are much better than I got outside Smilers after a few pints (bit blurry!).

Mind you as some of her photos were taken at about 7.45pm when the parade started and others are well aftter dark she might have felt a bit blurry herself next day!

Correct Biffa! We were on the terrace at Matabixo.

Not too blurry the next day - although as I had a day off it wouldn't have mattered too much
