For those driving to Portugal
For those driving to Portugal
Having just driven back to the UK I thought some current info on prices might be useful for those planning driving in the summer:
Toll charge A2 Messines (to avoid A22) to Badajoz 28.15 euros
Toll charge Bugos to Bilbao 18.60 euros
Motorway Petrol prices Portugal 1.75 Southern Spain 1.45 northern Spain 1.55

Suggest go to Seville and use A66 to Salamanca. It is motorway all the way, only about 20 miles longer, no tolls and Spanish fuel prices. I used this route back in the autumn and it is a great road.

That is good advice Aitch. I guess you do the west/east bit down here, rather than at the top of the A2??
Any time difference?

Just had an email from ferrycheap.
There is a 15% off promotion on Brittany Ferries so long as you book by 23rd April.
Its a special link (rather than on their web site)

I think I'll try the Saville road when we come down in July, it'll be a change of scenery and save a few quid to boot
