Buying a car - the transfer problem
Rather than get lost in the now lengthy topic of similar name I thought it better to start a new thread. Ellie2 remarks in the previous thread that she has a solution for the airport transfer problem. Ellie2 could you lets us know your solution if it is something that would be generally of benefit to anyone. Obviously getting friends to pick you up and drop you off is not so ideal. Does anyone else who have a good solution on this one. It seems the cheapest transfers are about 45 Euros each way and most one way car hires want 3 days minimum when you come to book them. Thanks.

Depending on the number of visits you make a year it can be cheaper to leave your car at the airport. 6 visits per year is probably break even if you nave a place in CVO. http://www.ana-aeroportos.pt/ANAIngles/ ... tm#parking for details of long term rates ie up to 1 year
