Come on Mike, its not like you!, are you having a bad day?
We know that the forum topics change throughout the year, and yes when it is coming up to peak season, we have to listen to the usual questions and answers, but isn't that what its all about?. The regular guests don't need to go over things they already know, so we do discuss everyday things things with our forum mates and as far as I am concerned the more varied and usual the better.
Cheer up

Every one is entitled to freedom of speech and expression and, even if a topic is not to your interest or taste Mike & Sandy, you should not seek to prevent them - simply ignore the topic and go to another one. Similarly everyone is entitled to their opinon and do not deserve immature insults from Tommy nor snide remarks from Guest (what has world starvation got to do with this debate?). Live & let live!
I am coming to live in cvo in a few weeks. I found this site and have gained some useful information from it, which will help me. However, most of the posts whilst of relevance to some people and in particular the poster, will be irrelevant to me personally.
What I have found from coming onto this site is that the people who live in and visit cvo are very welcoming and friendly and I hope to have made some friends out of it before I get to cvo. That is of much more benefit to me.
So as far as I am concerned, all posts on a General forum are relevant and of some point to someone (well mostly
)
If you don't like a post or it has no interest, then just ignore it.

Now, now, kids - play nice
This forum would make for a great social studies group - everything from the mindless verbal ejaculators (I class myself in that group on a monday morning...) to the thoughtful contributors. This forum is littered with posts asking for more moderation, less moderation, no moderation - asking to stick to the topics, asking to drift off topic - good jokes, bad jokes, rotten jokes and ROD's jokes
- sex talk, innuendo, mind games, etc.
All I can see here, is that we are just individuals sitting at a keyboard venting whatever it is we want to let out hoping to provoke some kind of reaction.

They are just a draft and I would rather not see them become basis for discussions on this forum, as that would mean that we as a social group are unable to live with each other, respect each other and communicate with each other without being told how to.
Where does that put us as human beings??

What a nasty piece of work this Sandy bloke sounds.perhaps youve spent too much time in the desert mate?you dont mind seeing your name posted here though do you?and if its all so tiresome to trawl through why do it?fed up with the sight of camels arses?Sandy wrote:Mike - I agree with you, a lot of idiocy has been posted lately - tiresome to trawl through - and people who like nothing other than to see their name posted on the board, many of whom behave like rejects from the Benny Hill show.
I'm sure it will pass soon though. Lets hope so.

I'm still intrigued as to what in particular prompted Mike to vent his spleen in the first instance, and what also is making Sandy hot under the collar (apart from the sun). I haven't noticed any significant changes in the forum in recent weeks
I'm also intrigued by the comment from one, Gambrinus, in his response '... good jokes, bad jokes, rotten jokes and Rod's jokes....' am I to take that as an insult or a compliment?
