Gay life

Can anybody tell me if there is any gay nightlife in Carvoeiro? Are any of the bars gay friendly? Where do the local guys go? Are gays treated badly in Portugal? Any help will be much appreciated.

there's a gay/nudist beach in or close to cvo.....never been there....
try doing a search on this forum.....

I've noticed...in lisboa....people are more open and tolerant than in London

Ive found most of the nightlife to be very gay & happy

I think Havana bar is run by a gay couple, I have heard that Computas internet café (under the postoffice) caters for all, tryO Bohemio in Prai da Rocha a well known gay bar. As for nudist beaches, it is against the law to go naked on a beach, so beware. Saying that you could try Meia Praia, the Alvor end or Praia dos Caneiros in Ferragudo. Happy hols Pinkiebluesky

yes the havana bar is run by a gay couple and they're lovely and also the girls who work there are lovely too- its very clean fresh and smart -looking with great music and service.( and gorgeous posters of che guevara on the walls !!!!) CVO is small and friendly i cant imagine anyone giving you a hard time although i havent actually come across a gay venue as such--have a great time !!

yup those guys down at the Computas Bar are really friendly (even to straight people like me

). Havana Bar is great fun and wonderfully decorated as mentioned before (also nice people).
