Intermarche - New Year's Day
Does anyone know if Intermarche is open on New Year's Day?

Was in area 2 years ago and next to nothing open on New Year's Day.Certainly none of the 'shops', maybe just a couple of bars.

Wow! Talk about forward planning! But I would have thought that someone so clued up would have bought the Alka-Seltzer beforehand!

Re: Intermarche - New Year's Day
we've celebrated New Year twice in CVO and by the time we've stopped partying, shops are open for normal business hours!!!
But then again, I have a birthday just shy of New Year's Day!

In all previous years intermarche have been closed for stock taking new years day. You will have a struggle finding anything open including restaurants

Re: Intermarche - New Year's Day
The above is correct, they are closed on the 1st of Jan but its a general day off for all staff, however after speaking to a member of staff this morning there stock take will be done on the 2nd so they may open a little later on that day around 10am, was what I was told but she did say nothing was confirmed.
Had to find out as I shop there every morning bang on 08.30 when they open.

That's worth knowing as I like my daily trip to intermarche whilst on holiday. Better stock up on the booze, never mind the food.
Re: Intermarche - New Year's Day
I can't think of anything worse to do on new years day than go supermarket shopping.
