Millenium BCP Letter

Post by tricky »

I have just had a letter from our portuguese bank. Obviously completely in Portuguese, but what is about I have no idea.
With my limited portuguese it seems to be inviting me to something at the branch in Carvoeiro, now if its just a sales tool okay,
but I'd hate to miss out on a party :D I know a few people on here are with BCP, and have probably got the same letter?

I thought it was to advise that the branch opening hours were being reduced to 0830 to 1230 & 1330 to 1530 ?

Yes, we got a letter too and if yours mentions the word "almoco" as ours does, this is the word for lunch and it appears they will now be closing for a lunch hour each day. Seems a strange move in the current economic climate but that's Portugal for you!

The post office also closes for lunch now, means they need less staff,( do not need lunch cover)

Also had the letter about changes to opening hours, in portuguese. Not bothered by this as it was a general letter, but they sent one out to their UK customers sometime ago about free transfers via HSBC, also in portuguese. I assume they got some got some negative feedback as they sent a follow up a couple of months later in english.
