I was told the LeClerc in Parchal was to become a Chinese hypermarket!!

Don't knock the Chinese shops. Last Xmas we came over to spend it with our family, arriving on Xmas Eve. One of the presents we had got them was a photo in a large frame and when we unpacked it the glass had broken. At around 7pm on Xmas Eve, we went to the shop on the out road and got a replacement.

Who's knocking them? I just wish there were as many good chinese restaurants in the Algarve.
Though I have to say we've got two chinese shops in Algoz & neither of them are very good, full of dodgy gear & what looks like highy inflammable clothing.

That's good to hear Sandy, I thought it was just me ... I drove around for about a half hour trying to find that place and gave up in the end and went home ..
