Walk : Wednesday 21 September, 2011. Eucalyptus Woods, Silve

We wil have to leave Poco Barreta for another time, and will do the walk originally planned for 8 September .

Hi all
10.00 start, fairly easy walk with a long slow uphill gradient and lovely views from the top, about 2 hours. One steep , but short, bit.
Stout trainers should suffice, boots better. Poles if you have them!
Don´t forget some water and a hat!
Directions:
From CVO, go over bridge into Silves and turn left on N124.
Drive about 2kms , past Continent supermarket on right hand side.
Take first right, drive about 1 km till reach " No Entry " sign : turn left then right after about 50 yards, and park in square in front of the Cantinha da Lina.
Any problems, ring 282 380015 before 0915.
Please indicate below if you can come.

We had a great walk yesterday, 15 walkers all together , will post photos once back in UK. Pace was a bit slower than usual, and we had an interesting case of imploding boots! All seemed to enjoy the great views though, and the cafe at the end , where it made an interesting change to have to order without any recourse to English!

Thanks for the photos Geoff, both for this walk and the one we did with you on 14 September. Thank you for adding the names - we were already getting confused with who was who.

We both thoroughly enjoyed the walks and will try to get ourselves fit during the winter ready for some more walks next year.

we walk in England with LDWA Cornwall and Devon group. We are coming to our house in Montes de Alvor on Tuesday 4th Oct for 2 weeks and wondered if you had any walks planned during that time ?
