Guia de transport, van driving.
Guia de transport, van driving.
Hello people,
I´ve come to you good folk after lurking for some time, but now I need clarification on whether we need a Guia de transporte for moving stuff around in Portugal.
A little background, my wife is a Sculptor/ Artist and I am involved in property maintenance in the Greater Lisbon area. Over the last months we have had to move some of her paintings/stuff around galleries in the Algarve and other parts of Portugal, during these trips we have been pulled over and the Police and the Finaças have looked in the back and asked us for the Guia, of which we had non but then had to explain at length that all the materials belonged to us for our work, they were very sceptical but let us go on our way,
My question is what do we need to satisfy the authorities?
Thanks for any pointers,
Cheers, Bob

Re: Guia de transport, van driving.
Receipts for bought goods, guia transporte if you are delivering. If items are obviously household and "used" you should not have a problem.
In your specific case if you are registered for business purposes I think would draw up a delivery note if you have large amount of goods on board. It could look to the Police etc that you are trading in the goods you mention and that can cause problems.
