Snow up to your armpits, followed by torrential rain, but then again it may be nice. :D

Still got to be better than U.K. weather whatever time of the year.

I can be changeable but when the sun comes out it is still lovely and hot (20 - 26C or even hotter!!) evening start to get a little cooler so you will need a cardigan or light jacket. You will probably get a few days of rain but not necessarily. I love Sept through to May as for me it is the best time of the year, you can go places without getting hot and sticky, also for me it is the nicest time to go riding.

susiem we have been in cvo now for the past 2 octobers and are due out again around 19th for about a week and will be disappointed if the weather isn't the same as previously.last 2 years were smashing. mad heat of august gone, easier to get into restaurants, car hire MUCH cheaper but still plenty of buzz about the place.sea still hot and pool ok up to around 6pm . we are out last few days of august until 10th sept and obvoiusly expect it to be hotter than 5 weeks later but there was not a massive change in the weather last year. I was out in Dec last year and it was nice. I was also out for 2 days in Jan and it was cold enough. March this year was the real disappointment, so much so that it is definitely off next years list. But Sept/Oct should be lovely. Enjoy.

As a general all year round rule I tend to work on the temperature in the Algarve being 10 degrees C warmer than the UK. You nned to wear layers of clothes that you can strip off as the day warms up and put back on as the sun sets. The only months when I would hessitate over the weather in the Algarve are Jan & Feb when it can be very damp. However there have still been times when I've sunbathed during Feb. I can't recall having ongoing bad weather during Sept/Oct in the last 10 years.

Always better than UK!
