Re: Pool cover recommended suppliers
Licy, can you put here a sketch of the pool with measures, I could tell you more or less the average price for it! Covers that need to be custom made and cut to fit the pools are a little bit more expensive than the "standard" sizes. Those come from the factory pre-cutted. Standard sizes are normally 4x9 / 5x10 / 5x12 / 6x14 metres. Other sizes are normally 2 times more expensive...

Bit of a dim whit with the plans for actual sizes, but will try. Our problem is envisage a pool that started rectangle, so straight at the top end and coming straight down the sides, part way down the sides they go off and then end up with a diagonal line at the entry part by the concrete type steps. It has 5 sides, none of which are equal. To boot in relation to the roller - where do we place it? Our terrace at the step end is not that deep and it would be in the way, meaning it would have to be moved well away from the pool. also how do you roll up from the step end a piece of bubble type cover that does not have a straight end. Does that make any sense at all? LICY Are you involved in pools or just interested. I certainly know the bubble type top can be cut to any shape you like.Nelson_Lagoa wrote:Licy, can you put here a sketch of the pool with measures, I could tell you more or less the average price for it! A bit confusing but i understand. Do you know the meters of each wall? Love to see a photo of it, it's a bit unusual in shape. I'm involved in the pool bussiness, Shanagarry from the forum knows meLICY wrote: Does that make any sense at all? LICY Are you involved in pools or just interested. Regarding the bubble type covers can be cut any shape with certain limitaions, they only make it 6 meters width, so if a pool is widder, it has to be glued 2 pieces side by side, etc.

Have you got a bad builder? maybe it should have been rectangular and someone's folded the plan.LICY wrote:Bit of a dim whit with the plans for actual sizes, but will try. Pato
Maybe the builder was following the beautiful architectural drawings in keeping with the strange plot shape too. I'll have my thigh high boots and whip packed for next week. Hope the build will be finished September/October, but no idea if they will build in August. LICY

Re: Pool cover recommended suppliers
Most builders stop in August, on my new builds we did, the main reason being it helps the house dry out after the rendering is completed, once really dryed out you also get less cracks, plus most builders give there staff the month off being summer and very hot to work in.
Re: Pool cover recommended suppliers
A lot of our rendering to the main house outside was done nearly 2 years ago as the previous builder stopped working. He had also done some of the interior ceilings, although the rain came in, in places as the roof was not water tight. I think the roof is now water tights. Fingers crossed! Having said that the rendering to garden walls was done some what more recently. I really want them to continue working at least part of August on the inside. Our build has taken so many years now that we are too frightened to book our next trip not knowing when it will be finished.
