Things for Kids in Carvoeiro
Does anyone have any suggestions for kids activities / trips in or around the Carvoeiro area?

Hi,
Most kids love the beach / sea, and if they're more active you have fantastic cliff top walks out of Carvoeiro, and even more beaches to discover.
Horse riding in Silves (20 mins)
Boat trips from Carvoeiro, Portimao and Feragudo, the coast is beautiful, lots of caves, grottos, cliffs, hidden beaches etc.
Deep sea / Game fishing from Portimao
Course fishing at the Barragems(reservoirs
Surfing and snorkling lessons nearby
I think the Tivoli hotel does a fully acredited diving course.
Canoeing, sea and river.
Golf , Golf and more Golf.
2 waterparks within 25 minutes, - Slide n'splash, and the one whose name i can never remember.
Good Cinemas, 3D and most of the films are in English at Portimao and Guia - at the big shopping centres
Zoo Marine - really good, bit like a smaller version of the Florida seaworld park.
Krazy World - god for younger kids.
Autodrome F1 circuit near Portimao, often things happening there.
Landrover Safaris and organised walks in the Mountains.
Many of the local towns have smaller kiddie type parks, some have indoor swimming pools.
Hot air Balloon trips
Carvoeiro often puts on little bits of entertainment, street entertainers, often disco's, music etc of the beach in the early evening
Sometimes in the small adds, pottery, art and other classes.
All off this is within 30 minutes of Carvoeiro and i'm sure there are lots more
Have a nice holiday

Fiesa sand sculptures. http://travelgeneration.com/travel-stor ... e-algarve/
There's an area where kids can make their own.

Or as the woman in the tourist office told me - nothing to do here its just a beach
Re: Things for Kids in Carvoeiro
My son is nine now - he loves going to Zoomarine, at least once every visit, the Roma crazy golf in Villamoura is one of his favourite places, Sand Fiesa he really enjoys, and of course the beach, pool and sea (goes without saying). He also plays tennis a couple of times a week - I think Carvoeiro Clube do a childrens holiday course.

Why not go for a walk. I have heard there is something similar to Trailtrekkers. Best watch out you don't end up on crutches though. Fake tan, hairspray, spandex don't come cheap you know! 12 weeks free car insurance with aviva pal.

Do kids like going on long walks in the summer sun? We take the grandkids to Fontes and they quite enjoy that http://www.carvoeiro.com/Guide/fontes but you do a get a lot of Portuguese schoolkids and it can get a bit rowdy.

Think I'll need more talcum powder if I wear the spandex pal...!!

Take a day trip to Silves , you have the castle and off the large carpark by the river climbing frames, fitness machines, sports centre.
