A bit more upmarket recommendation please.

Post by ncook »

Hi, We've been to CVO lots of times over the past years and normally eat in restaurants down the main street (Jota Lita, Casa Algarvia etc.)

This year when we're out there, it's my Mother in Law's birthday, and we'd like to take some where a bit more 'upmarket'.

Any recommendations?

Thanks,

Nick

Agree that Bella Vista gives that feel compared to your other mentions.

My suggestion would be O Barradas for a Portugese up market experience.

We had a great meal at Onze yesterday lunchtime, so that would be a good choice if staying in the village.

You will not go wrong with La Bella Vita at Club Atlantico.

My top pics would be Chrissy's in Lagoa OR Pimenta Preta (Sp!) on road to Rocha Brava at Palm Gardens Resort. Both over the top and wonderful. 8)

Pimenta Preta.....fine dining and excellent. Expensive but good.
Chrissys (Lagoa)....French/Belgian food. Set price menu inc wine.
Bella Vista.. posh Italian.Clube Atlantico. Excellent but now over priced
O'Barradas..Old Silves road from Lagoa. Top class Portuguese. Our current favourite.
Porches Velho..Old part of Porches. High quality Portuguese
