New parking restrictions in Carvoeiro

It seems with the arrival this year of electric cars onto our roads, each Camera has been told to allocate a certain amount of parking for electric vehicles. As a result Lagoa Cm have decided that from the Monte Dorada junction all the way up to the donkey charity shop - past the health centre (on both sides) will be reserved for electric vehicles and charge posts will be erected to allow the cars to be charged up whilst parked. This from July 2011.

All other non electric vehicles will have now to park along the main road near the petrol station and their owners and passengers will have to walk into Carvoeiro .

I am in total favour of reducing the number of cars in the centre but even this sounds like nonsense.
