Screw light fittings

Are the 27mm? Our Morrisons has a load of 5w low energy bulbs at 48p each.

I thought the large screw fittings are all E27 and the small screw fitting are all E14. I have brought both sizes from the UK to Portugal and they all fit. I bought some large screw E27 yesterday from HomeBargains at 10p each.

As said on a previous thread - I tried to take cheap long life bulbs from UK in hand luggage, and was told they were not allowed but could go in the hold, which I refused to pay for so they were confiscated. However, other people on here have said they have taken them in hand luggage, so perhaps it depends on the airport, or more likely the vigilance of the staff. I don't know why they are so expensive in Portugal.

Yes Low energy "A" rated 11watt equivalent to 55watt. The 5 watt ones (25W) for me don't give enough light off, so I buy the bigger wattage.

Well its a type of shop that I go in for maybe 1 thing and then come out with a basket full. If I see a good bargain I buy. They sell all sorts of things from food, beer,wine, homewares, toiletries etc. Personally I wouldn't travel 15 miles unless you want a day out. We are lucky in that our nearest Homebargains is only 1 mile away.
I find the low energy bulbs in Portugal are so expensive starting at 5euros and upwards for one,that's why when I see them at a bargain price in UK I always buy quite a few.
A couple of months ago when I went to the shop I bought a sky remote control for £2.99 they were £20 in Asda. Our old remote had started to stick on the buttons, so I was well pleased at that bargain.
