New Hinge for Gas Cupboard....

Post by Ma-Ja's »

We have dark green doors on our gas cupboard and one of the hinges has broken. Does anyone know where I can get a replacement hinge?

Take a picture of it and show us, then we might be able to help.

If you can see what you need on Ebay, I can bring it out in a couple of weeks.

How many hinges do you have on the "gas cupboard"? I'm a dab hand at problem solving y'know, so take the other hinge off and buy two matching hinges, unless of course your gas cupboard is a antique or somethin', if you want it green there is a product called "paint" which you apply with a brush, problem solved!

They look similar to the hinges on our gas bottle door, which we got from one of the local Vidro outlets, who also supply doors & windows. Not sure which Vidro place it was though. Will the local drogaria not have them?, if not surely they will tell you where you can get them, take the hinge off so you can show them. Good luck

I would try the place near Fatacil which makes aluminium doors/shutters and wooden doors and has a section at the back for ironwork. If you turn off the 125 and go past Fatacil, cross the little roundabout and it is on the left. It is a large building and the name of the company includes "Marcos". There is a small office at the side of the building and the guy there speaks English.
