Has anyone bought electrical appliances on line from Worten or from another Portuguese source?

Is it cheaper than going to the shop ?

Were you pleased with the service ?

Widge, we have lived here for five years and have never bought any white goods here owing to the expense. We have always bought on line from the UK and had them shipped from Andover by a local Company. We have saved , including delivery costs between 30% and 40%. The major stores will not do any discounts and even if they have a sale, they give you the Discount in the form of a credit note, to be spent in the store, by a certain time.
This is by far the easiest and cheapest way, in my opinion, to get a decent product for a decent price. We have purchased Beds, American Fridge/Freezer and many smaller items. Amazon will do a free delivery on certain items over 50 Pounds. Our Fridge, for example was 1200 Euros in a Major local store and we purchased an identical model for 800 pounds, including delivery.

I think it's £25 for Amazon. I've bought stuff for under £50 and got free delivery. I was going to get a TV from Amazon but the same one is around £30 more in Radio Popular and taking into account warranty and the right plug, I feel that's worth the extra.

hi widge, do remember that if you buy locally you have somewhere to go back to for breakdowns/ repairs; I guess it depends what you're buying.

my cousin in UK supplies to all the big building companies, I asked him to send me stuff down but he recommended local purchase; he also said that if you have the budget you should buy Miele if you're washing anything & Bosch/ Siemens for all cooking; some companies here supply (I'll get the spelling wrong) Dedeitrich, he won't touch them, huge reliability issues.

I just compared their price for the Samsung LE32C530 and they are €115 more expensive than Radio Popular!

Jeez, just not worth posting. The fact that I got a coffee machine from Redcoon.pt at 540 euros cheaper than in the shops I suppose doesn't count. Many of my friends have sourced items on there cheaper too.
I was just trying to help but you've probably sat there for hours searching for a more expensive item on the website.

Please let me know if you find it for less than €389 & if it's a better TV than either the Sony BX400 @ €399 or the Panasonic TX L32U2E @ €399?

As you probably gather I'm in the market to buy one too. As for Harlequin he should be shown a red card totally uncalled for

I wouldn't say it's a better TV widge. It's just the usb port that plays HD movies that I liked. We've got one at school on the wall in reception which we use for promotional stuff. It's currently €389.90 in Radio Popular http://www.radiopopular.pt/catalogo/det ... prod=28281. I'm sure I saw it cheaper in their Portimao shop a couple of weeks ago but I may be wrong.
