spring has (maybe) arrived

Gabby - we did it 9 months ago - no regrets.

I go to the UK for 3-4 days a month and find the contrast between here and there to be widening each time. The crowds, traffic, not to mention the weather - confirm beyond any doubt that our decision to move here permanently to be 'inspired'.

Waking up this week to clear blue skies and temperatures in the late teens - works wonders for my frame of mind and positiveness. Since arriving here my own professional productivity has soared - undoubtedly helped by this wonderful environment.

yep sunman, did my best.

managed to eat out on 3 occasions. Happys, O Indiano, and Jotta Lita. tried to get into Casa de Bife but full to the door (the power of a well worded window notice).

and a few scoops but have to add am disappointed that Portugal still has not implemented a non smoking ban in pubs.

Casa de Bife advertised a meal for 2 for €30 and it looked really good value, but when you stripped out the wine and water in all the other establishements there was not a lot of difference between them. tried to get into Marisquera as a result of reading this forum but they were closed on Sunday. Always the next time.

To avoid a "smoking bar " just look for the BLUE sign, this means that smoking is allowed on the premises.

There are both smoking and no smoking bars in Carvoeiro just look for the signs.
