macassa
technically not correct
you dont have to have 2 outputs from your dish to use a hd box there is selectable software inside to change to one incoming cable feed
you dont need to have a phone line now when subscribing to sky unless you are subscribing to multiroom
you need a live viewing card to use the recording funtions
if you are moving from the uk to portugal tell sky you have moved to a friends address and get a prepaid mastercard and tell sky this is your new payment method
if you have multiroom this is more difficult as its a contractual part of your subscription that both boxes are connected to same telephone line if this is the case cancel the multiroom and get a standard subscription on both boxes or one box

Thanks info re hd box only needing 1 input now. However you still need a live sky card to record.

I just looked on the sky website http://www.sky.com/shop/new?DCMP=ilc-aa5_10Jan_getsky
In the legal terms and conditions piece at the bottom, under "general" it still says you must have a telephone connection for 12mths - so when did they change this? obviously very recently??
