Unfortunately too many Portuguese players froze - congrats to Greece for providing such a huge shock, however, I think that most true football lovers would have liked to have seen a team with more flair crowned European Champions. Give Greece huge credit for being so well organised & disciplined throughout.

Having looked forward to Euro 04 for so long (hoping that Wales would qualify) it seems an anti climax that its now all over, but only about 5 weeks until the season re-starts!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Well done to Portugal for organising such an enjoyable tournament.

well for the past few days the portuguese have become rather big headed...thinking that everything they do is perfect.....yesterday in albufeira we were sitting at a table and the next table (portuguese) were making a fool of us,...i think if they had won they really would have been unbearable

but anyway the greeks did really welll..who would have thought it

we enjoyed the match...it was never dull was it?
Come on Croeso ....you seem a bit 'grudging' in giving Greece a pat on the back...they played the game well.and i thought it refreshing to see someone different pick up the cup

sad for Portugal........see the sad faces of the kids in the stadium and felt for them....
but thats how we felt... when Portugal beat us......nite..ellie

I was the only Greek walking the streets of Carvoeiro last night wrapped in a big Greek flag....sat and watched in a bar and after Greece won there was the deadly silence expected ...I cheered as loud as I could expecting at least a few harsh looks..or worse....but no ..The Portuguese clapped and shook my hand even though a few werent far from crying and as I walked down town wearing the flag...everybody shook my hand and I was impressed just how wonderful and friendly the Portuguese were having lost the final and now some arrogant Greek is shoving the greek flag in their face....Well done Portugal ..you are true sportsmen.

Im sure youre not an arrogant Greek guest..but justly proud of your country..and the Portuguese will recognise that being the people they are...
well done to both Greece and Portugal....you gave us a good game/final
