Temperature around 22c but variable depending on wind and tide.
Thursday the water at Carvalho was crystal clear but last two days there has been a lot of plankton -- also many of the places round here are sandy and get stirred up. Quite a few fish but nothing spectacular.
Bring your mask and snorkel but don't bother with an under-water camera would be my advice.

I was quoting official figure given by the lifeguard but must admit that after the first 2 inches from the surface it feels a bit cooler !!
Refreshing would be the word in the recent heat-wave.
One thing that never ceases to amaze me though is how the temperature can vary so much from one day to the next and between different locations on the same day -- Vilmoura last week it was like stepping into a warm bath, then the following day Caneiros was icy.
