What's happened to?
What's happened to?
First the criminal who killed the gentleman in the square, and secondly the outcry for improved security?
Re: What's happened to?
No interest eh! no wonder we never get anywhere, it's all talk and no action.pato wrote:First the criminal who killed the gentleman in the square, and secondly the outcry for improved security?

Censorship?
Re: What's happened to?
I cannot believe that nothing further has been posted about the incident in the square, and have looked each day since the last posting on Jan 3rd. Regarding the outcry for improved security, nothing has happened there either. Seems to get forgotten about until someone else becomes a victim.

Re: What's happened to?
For even those that don't live there but actually have property there (we have just above the square) can we not get some petition going on here that we can hand in to the Camera Municipal in Lagoa to get some extra police patrol. Been real busy workwise so not been on here much but did read the article with great sadness.

It was a question, not a statement. Usually if a topic is removed Steen tells us.pato wrote:Explain!Michael Crane wrote:Censorship?
Re: What's happened to?
Nothing has been heard so nothing can be said. However there are more police patrols in the village late at night/in the early hours.
Portugal is the same as the UK., court cases take many months to get heard, so unlikely for anything else to be heard for some time.

How about break-ins? have the local criminal fraternity been active or has it quietened down since they locked up the suspect murderer and house breaker?Jaylay wrote:Nothing has been heard so nothing can be said. However there are more police patrols in the village late at night/in the early hours.

There was a house break-in last week between ADM and VDM, which is mentioned on another thread. I cannot remember the name of the poor chap, but he was asleep in bed when it happenend, and the burglars stole his BMW to escape with their haul.pato wrote:How about break-ins? have the local criminal fraternity been active or has it quietened down since they locked up the suspect murderer and house breaker?Jaylay wrote:Nothing has been heard so nothing can be said. I agree, we do have to do something, but none of us are volunteering to grasp the nettle and organise things. I'm embarrassed to say that this includes me at the moment, due to work commitments.Gary/Gaynor wrote:For even those that don't live there but actually have property there (we have just above the square) can we not get some petition going on here that we can hand in to the Camera Municipal in Lagoa to get some extra police patrol.
