Anybody rember the 70's? Flaired trousers,kipper ties.sparkly disco stuff.A programme on tv the other night btought back alla the memories.........Ah to be young again.........

you could always 'root 'around in your wardrobe and dig out the flares ..kipper tie etc.......but wait a minute....
they are back aren't they?......Ive 2 pair in my wardrobe...second time round....

I liked the 'Bee Gees ' sound too ....and Donna Summer....shes making a big come back i think..saw her on tv last week promoting new release..
wasnt there some good bands around then tho...who else was there.........?

…I refuse to be drawn into this……donna summer, bee gees!!!!!…….back in the 70’s I was taking Neil Young far too seriously to listen to that disco..…and by contrast I used to follow an R’n B band from Southend called Dr Feelgood…went to all their gigs….did bit of roady work for a couple of bands nobody’s ever heard of……and wrote some songs…..nothing published and lost interest when Morrissey came along….could never compete so chucked it all on the fire….

I am too young to talk about the vibes of the 60s and 70s but thanks to my dad's record collection I was grooving infront of the speaker I could not even look over the top of

El Lute, Fernando and Summertime Blues were sounds of the 80s for me

Summertime Blues - music of the 80s?. Thought that was Eddie Cochrane in the late 50s. Now that was an era. Buddy Holly, Little Richard, Fats Domino, Chuck Berry et all. DA haircuts, drainpipe trousers and brothel creepers

Sorry folks but come on, what about The Hollies, The Who, Marmalade, The Swinging Blue Jeans, The Moody Blues, Georgie Fame and the Blue Flames, The Small Faces, The Trogs, The Tremeloes,The Walker Brothers, Gerry and the Pacemakers, Manfred Man, The Kinks, The Animals, The Stones and The Beatles, my god they were the days, they don't make them like that anymore!

Rock and Roll was born in the 50s. Be ever grateful to those guys for giving inspiration to the bands of the 60s, who were indeed the greatest. Pity about the rubbish of the last 20 odd years

I remember T-Rex Jimmy James Velvelettes George Mcrae, Slade.......Who can forget Slade they're still played every Christmas.
I used to have a Lurex dress! Thought I was the bees knees in that!!
