5th Ashes Test Match
Hi All,
Does anyone happen to know if there's anywhere in CVO to watch the 5th Ashes test match ,starting 2nd Jan?
Play starts at around 11.30pm each night.
So it would be very nice to find a bar to get quietly sloshed watching the first couple of hours of each days play.
Many Thanks
Ray & Carole

Re: 5th Ashes Test Match
guess you have to milk these rare moments of triumph!
---
A bloke walks into a brothel in Sydney and says: "I'm a bit kinky, how much for total humiliation?"
The madam replies $60.
"Wow, what do I get for that," he says.
She says: "A baggy green cap and an Australian Cricket Shirt.

Re: 5th Ashes Test Match
And they managed to stuff them in the T20 as well - even though it was by 1 run!! bloody marvellous!!

Re: 5th Ashes Test Match
I think the word 'stuff' is a bit strong. I prefer 'scraped through'. I think that is a more realistic assessment of the match result. However it was a good match to watch

No - stuffing is correct - led 'em on a bit then just got the runs when we wanted - what's to point of having 20 overs if you don't use them allBarryTodd wrote:I think the word 'stuff' is a bit strong. they are the only 11 people in Aus currently praying for rain!
Re: 5th Ashes Test Match
I see England got stuffed by the Aussies today in the second T20, or is that too strong a word
. Good match though

Should be a good one-day series mind - Aussies are always a tough team no matter what - hope you lucky lot that can watch it in a bar in CVO somewhere don't drink too much!
