Company name is VFU-Vacations For You Lda. Registred in Portugal.The directors were previously both project directors for Club la Costa in Cornwall, for 3 years, based at a resort called Hustyns near Wadebridge. This resort was sold out within 8 months.They put up half the money, together with a management company called resort solutions, to refurbish one of the MC apartments.VFU is a new company that now is offering a weeks holiday in the Algarve for £99 as a promotion.Its seems like a good deal in a splendid resort.

Pechey group had a similar deal last year, All that happened was that those looking for a cheap holiday ( mainly pensioners ) with no intention of falling for the sales pitch took full advantage. They were certainly not mugs , Mugsy.

Great system,2 weeks last year in Barbados at the Crane Resort cost me £87.A Mug who never owned the product was staying at the same resort paying $1000 a day and he was there for 2 weeks, do the maths,at the end of the holiday when I told him how much it cost me he ended up buying a timeshare there.
Good system if you travel,saves you lots of money and the quality of the accommodation is normally a lot better than a cheap package holiday.

CH is one of the first ports of call in due dilligence. There are a lot of reasons why they may not be registered with CH, legitimate or otherwise.
As

They were based in Cornwall for 3 years prior to coming to Portugal.They have a very good name in the holiday ownership industry for turning resorts around that need refurbishing and selling them out.

I'm just asking why? Also, tjthedj asked Mugsy if it was their company - this has not been answered. Anyone at MC know about this refurbishment, and if VFY are involved?

Agreed, if you are looking to invest or loan funds...but dont assume that no CH reg is a bad thing my missus turns thick end of half a million and she trades as a partnership and isnt registered at CH

The MC refurb is being managed by Resort Solutions who are tendering to 3 building companies to carry it out....it will be done over this winter and next (quiet times) and is being funded by the owners in full by means of an additional one off payment for each week owned...VFY have nothing to do with the refurb

Thanks, So contrary to info from Mugsy, VFY have nothing to do with the refurb.

VFY and Resort solutions paid for the innitial appartment to be refurbed and put it on show for the owners to see what the resort could be transformed into.Once the owners agreed to the refurb a special one off levy was raised, VFY got reimbursed.

Be very very careful anybody considering doing business with a new organisation - without a track record and being 'fronted' by a person using the name 'Mugsy' - are we really that 'stupid'?

I can see the posts on here next summer with people blaming this site for not warning people off - when all the time the signals were plain to see!
