Prices?

Post by Dave. »

Hello All.

I'm on the way over to Carvoeiro this weekend with my family and was wondering what the I can expect to pay for a pint/bottle of beer etc. Also what should I expect to pay for a meal out for 4 people (2 adults & 2 young kids)?

Thanks for any help.

expect to pay 2 euro for a large beer (approx a pint). Bottled beer can be a bit expensive dependant on the place.

Can't generalise ona meal out as it varies totally on the town and what you want. If you stick to the large resorts and go for the tourist menu then you could get a 3 course meal for 6-7 euros. Basic but might be all you want.

Go somewhere better and, as with any country, the sky is the limit.

Check out the food and restaurant forums on this site. Also the bars mentioned.

That'll do me jimmy. Two euros for a pint o heavy.

But where in CV does Guest buy his caneca for 2 euros. Even the portuguese bars are nearer 2.50, and the english/dutch/german bars or those on the square are more like 3 euros and upward.

As for -67 euros for a three course, where in CVO is that. It must be a well kept secret.

Not a well kept secret at all - everyone knows O'Escondhidino!! You can drink as much as you like for that price as well.

The beach bar at Benagil is 2 euro and Rosa's at sesmiras is 1.50! Smilers is 2.50. Average meal, starter, main, no sweet, decent bottle of wine and coffee about 40 euros (O' Cantino) Mike
