Which is the best and most cost effective way to get English language tv and a good internet connection in Carvoeiro. Would Freesat and separate Internet connection be better or a cable package giving both (and possibly a landline too).

We have a Cabo ( cable ) package that gives TV ( some english channels , Portuguese sub tiltles ), phone and internet.
Plus a sat and freesat box.

We could probably live without UK TV if we had to but it is a one off purchase, dish connections ( box from UK ).

I am not aware of a cable package that gives UK channels.

we have just switched to cabovisao.pt, we have 100 channels 60% english channels, phone with no line rental,and unlimited internet with 20 megas and wireles router for a fix monthly cost of 35.39 Euros, before we were with PT paying 18 euros a month line rental plus calls, and internet with SAPO paying 35.90 euros a month for 24 megas(ADSL).
Thats a saving of over 20 euros per month.
