Mine were all from 1600 to 2 lite jobs. My mate Ray had a green one which had been Turbo Charged by Broad Speed, awesome at the time but I think we have highjacked the topic a bit.cereza wrote:I had 3 Capris in the 70's- 1 white , one silver and one (my favourite) pink with a black bonnet and a load of spot lights- broke my heart when I had to sell it to pay for a new 3 piece suite that we bought after miscalculating the budget![]()
All 3 litre models with a couple of breeze blocks in the boot to stop the sliding about

Great times![]()

Gray/Gaynor,
Was your mate Ray's green one metallic with a black vinyl roof? If so, it may have been mine at one stage, brilliant car, had our names along the top of the widscreen SHAZZA and DAVEBOY! Now that's real Essex.

Re: Restaurant Review Summer 2010
Only just seen this... I had a lovely metallic green Capri with a black vinyl roof and a small double gold stripe along the side, it was a 'special edition' 2ltr all black inside, it was gorgeous I just loved it, unfortunately after a small bump in the front of it, I discovered it was a 'shunt' car and had been welded underneath to strengthen it, got rid of it after that. I love Capri's....

Sunbeam Alpine MK12 - it was the muts nuts
Re: Restaurant Review Summer 2010
Triumph 2.5PI saloon manual with overdive. Went like a rocket and cruised easily at high speeds with 27mph per thousand revs in OD top gear. Spoilt only by the need for rebuilds of the PI metering unit.

Dear Blue,
You're entitled to your opinion and I wouldn't take the Carvoeiro Taliban who reside on here put you off.
They don't take criticism of CVO very well at all. I know from experience.
As a Northerner I keep away from sophisticated drinks like the Essex Punch.
I like my beer cold and cheap- which is why I try not to drink in CVO when visiting
I prefer Rosas in Sesmarias to drink and Ferragudo for my fodder.

Re: Restaurant Review Summer 2010
know this review states 2010 but as just back from cvo am going to 'chip' in anyway.
was in taste on 're opening' night and it was good. really good. great food and friendly service. will return.
a gale - really good food and friendly staff. will return.
happys - usual craic from the big dutchman. know you shouldn't really have fish 'n chips in portugal but couldnt help myself. Libbe (?) was in top form. we always go back.
chinese at top of restaurant hill - toss up between whether we would go for a chinese or indian (had been in both indians previously) chinese won. we lost. not awful but close. won't return.
are any of the chinese restaurants in cvo recommended?
