I read the aticle and it seems as if this is expat top heavy. For this pettition to mean anything I believe that 95% of those who sign
should be Portuguese or it will be seen as yet another attempt by " foreigners " trying to change the local way of life.

More emphasis should be put on enforcing the current regulations where hunting infringements are a real safety hazard.

if you check the names on the site seems most signatures are Portuguese so far

as for tightening up regulations, you would need an army of police to enforce them

It's not an issue I have an opinion of - for or against. It's part of the problem with the world we live in - there's always somebody trying to ram their opinion down your throat.

Anyone know of a petition going which is for hunting? The need to keep vermon down is well known - pigeons, crows, magpies, squirrels, rats etc and as long as it's for that I'm all for it - its those sick people who kill songbirds that I hate.
