Beach Parasols..
Beach Parasols..
As much as i detest them personally, needs must with a baby for some additional shade.....are these available for rent on local beaches or do you have to BYO..if so any suggestions of best place to pick one up locally..

Most large supermarkets sell them. (I'm tempted to say Intermarche But we've done that one -- thats the sort of thing that would be more expensive there). The thing about renting at individual beaches limits you the larger more commercial beaches, but you can get a reasonable one for under €20 and the World is your oyster.

And in the interests of fairness we will of course check all the local supermarkets not just Intermarche for best possible price!!!

My wife doesn't always like to sit in the sun, particularly on an open beach. She uses a fold up "beach tent". It is compact and fits in your luggage easily. In minutes it can be erected on the beach. It provides cover and is great for storing beach type things. It would be great for a small baby giving all round shade without having to move an umbrella all the time. Just a thought.

Yep ...already have a sun tent....but 7 month old on the move hasnt quite mastered the 'staying put' technique yet!!
