Algarve driver
We've always used Algarvedriver out of loyalty to carvoeiro.com, even though I have had to get Steen to match prices. I've just been to get a quote for October and as we have a 7:30am return flight, they want to charge an additional €15 for nighttime return! I suspect that nightime return mans leave it in Row H Carpark 4, the same as any other return, I feel this might be an unjustified addition. I'll send Steen an email as soon as Orange get their server fixed. Has anyone else incurred this charge? Loyalty on stretches so far.

Re: Algarve driver
It must be a mistake I have a drop off and pickup at 7.30am in October with out any charge.

Our flight departs 7:30, so it's more like a 6:00 drop-off
Re: Algarve driver
YOR charge a surcharge between 2200 hrs & 0850 according to their T&Cs. If it doesn't add an extra day to your rental period you could always say the booking is to 0900 hrs and drop it off early. It just means the car will sit there longer.

Good thinking Farol. I've just checked my past bookings and don't appear to have paid this before.

Re: Algarve driver
I checked out the Algarve Driver site this week for a ten day hire after we arrive on 4th September. The prices seemed quite competitive, but they take no money prior to delivery of the vehicle. I opted for drop off and pick-up from our accommodation. The only thing which put me off was the fact that there are no contact details on the website. What happens if the car doesn't turn up - there appears to be no phone number to ring. If they take no money I assume they can please themselves whether to turn up or not. Or do they send you contact details when you confirm your booking?
Re: Algarve driver
If you drop off before 8am and pick up after something like 7.30pm the car park apparently charges an extra 15 euros. This is what I was told by two separate companies at the P4 carpark.

So you didn't check out this page on their web site then:TomUK wrote:I The only thing which put me off was the fact that there are no contact details on the website. ?

Re: Algarve driver
Yes I did check out that page - it does not give a phone number. Click 'contact' and you just get internet contact details. If the car does not arrive and I don't have internet access, what good is an e-mail address and a website address to me at my apartment when I only have a phone?Farol wrote:So you didn't check out this page on their web site then:TomUK wrote:I The only thing which put me off was the fact that there are no contact details on the website. ?
