Get a santander/Totta account and debit card - no charges - take them £ in CVO and they put it in yr account at a very good rate (about 1%) - similarly needed several £k last month and the gave it me at the forex rate in 10mins I use the one on restaurant hill and cant fault them - lovely people and very helpful

Thank you for this tip I will look in to it,taking in to account the demise of the N/wide flexi account plus my local branch of RBS will soon be changing to a Santander it may be very helpfull.cereza wrote:Yeah - we all know Barclays in Portugal is nothing to do with Barclays UK but Santander is a Spanish bank and totally different.
